WELCOME TO THE FAB FEMINIST BOOK CLUB!

Whaddup, 2017! FF is back in action and two months behind the eight ball. PHEW. The world has seen a lot of good and a lot of bad since our last post, but we're here for another reason today: to announce the official launch of the Fab Feminist Book Club!

After very little deliberation and a great deal of procrastination, the first book I've picked is "My Life on the Road" by feminist icon, Gloria Steinem. When I first decided to purchase this book, my knowledge of Steinem was pretty limited and 100% cringeworthy — I'd seen her in a Kate Spade campaign and heard her referenced in "Legally Blonde: The Musical," but I had no idea what she'd accomplished or how she'd done it. This book (so far) is a fascinating narrative that takes us through her early days of activism. Hell, yes, Gloria! Tell me all about it. I often find myself avoiding the bold and challenging in life, but Steinem makes it seem so simple; not in a way meant to invoke envy, but rather, one to inspire.

I'm so thrilled to begin this new journey of Fab Feminist. Let us know if you'll be joining in on this grand adventure by commenting below or emailing us at fabfeministblog@gmail.com! I realize that this may be a book club party of one, but it's also a bold and comically challenging project that I intend to tackle with commitment. If you have any recommendations for our next pick, give us a holler!
